5 DOCUMENTARIES YOU HAVE TO WATCH AND 2 BOOKS TO READ

DOCUMENTARIES:

COWSPIRACY by Kip Anderson and Keegan Kuhn.
A documentary that summarizes the connection between animal agriculture, climate change, and ecological breakdown. It is on Netflix.

THE TRUE COST by Andrew Morgan.
It discusses several aspects of the garment industry from production—mainly exploring the life of low-wage workers in developing countries—to its after-effects such as river and soil pollution, pesticide contamination, disease, and death.

DOMINION by Chris Delforce.

Uses drones, hidden and handheld cameras to expose the dark underbelly of modern animal agriculture, questioning the morality and validity of humankind's dominion over the animal kingdom. It is free to watch on their website. Disclaimer: it is really graphic. But is reality.

FORKS OVER KNIVES by Lee Fulkerson.

Examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us, can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting our present menu of animal-based and processed foods. Also on Netflix. This one made us switch to a plant-based diet.

GAME CHANGERS by James Cameron. Shows many professional athletes thriving in a plant-based diet, and explains a bit of the science behind it. Also on Netflix.

BOOKS:

Healthy eating healthy world by J. Morris Hicks. Breakdown the politics of food, factory farming, the health care crisis, and how the food we eat is affecting our health and environment.

The Uninhabitable Earth by David Wallace-Wells. Tells us what could be the worst-case scenario of what might happen in the near future, due to global warming.
